One could say that the stories in this book are some of the oldest and most beautiful fairy tales ever written. The people who created them loved beauty and light, which shall always triumph against ugliness and darkness. There is truth woven in these fairy tales, too, which is what all good fairy tales are about. Created by the dreams and the imagination of the ancient Greeks, these stories take us back through time to the beginning of the world and its evolution, where cosmic forces are personified as gods and demons, Giants, Titans, and monsters; their majestic clashes and conflicts of those superhuman beings represent the natural powers at play on the surface and the bowels of the earth and in the sky above, as the cosmos was created. The ancient Greeks saw the final settling of those cosmic forces as the triumph of the twelve gods of Olympus, whose victory against the Titans finally established serenity and peace in the world.
